Nut Butters

Nut butters are spreadable food sources derived from different nut varieties. The product is primarily produced by grinding specific nut varieties into a paste and in some cases adding additional additives. These products normally contain high contents of protein, fiber and essential fatty acids. Uses include replacements for butter or margarine on bread or even toast. It is widely seen as the ‘bring me a spoon and I’ll eat it out of the jar’ type of product. Different nut butters include:

  • Acorn Butter
  • Almond Butter
  • Cashew Butter
  • Hazelnut Butter
  • Peanut Butter
  • Macadamia Butter
  • Pecan Butter
  • Walnut Butter
  • Pistachio Butter

Some of the above are not nuts in a botanical sense, but are in a culinary sense.
